If you're flying a drone in India—whether for recreational, professional, or commercial use—you must know about the DigitalSky Platform, created by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

🛸 What is DigitalSky?
DigitalSky is India’s official online portal for everything related to UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems). It's your go-to platform for:

✅ Registering drones
✅ Getting a Unique Identification Number (UIN)
✅ Applying for Remote Pilot Certificates
✅ Filing flight plans
✅ Becoming a certified training organization
✅ Getting Type Certificates for drone models
✅ Staying updated on no-fly zones and legal norms

🚦Whether you're a drone enthusiast, filmmaker, farmer, startup, or enterprise—using the platform is mandatory for flying drones legally.

🔗 Platform Access: https://digitalsky.dgca.gov.in

⚠️ Important:

  • Nano drones (≤250g) used below 50ft don’t require UIN, but must follow safety rules.

  • All other drones require proper registration and remote pilot licensing.

  • Flying in Red/Restricted Zones without permission can lead to legal action.

💼 As an advocate, I highly recommend users understand their legal duties under the Drone Rules, 2021 and stay compliant.
